ENR # 1134/Hajj 2027 open

Umrah from Canada

Umrah from Canada, arranged end to end

Flights from Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary, visa handled, hotels within walking distance of the Haram, and a quote in Canadian dollars before you commit to anything.

Umrah has no quota and no nationality requirement, so a Canadian passport is no obstacle at all — you can go whenever you choose. What we do is take the planning off you: the visa, the flights, hotels within reach of the Haram, transport between the cities, Ziarat and a guide who knows the rites.

Most of our Canadian Hujjaj come from the Greater Toronto Area — Mississauga, Brampton and Scarborough — along with Montreal, Calgary and the Lower Mainland.

We quote against your actual dates rather than publishing a fixed price, because hotel rates near the Haram and airfares from Canada move month to month. Send us your dates and group size and you will have a written quote back quickly — in CAD, so there is nothing to work out.

Timing

When to go from Canada

The month you choose changes the price more than almost anything else. Here is how the year actually looks.

March break

The most popular window for families with school-age children, and priced accordingly. Book several months ahead.

December and January

A long stretch away from the Canadian winter, and often better value than the school holidays. Our quietest and most comfortable groups.

Ramadan

The most rewarding time to go and the most expensive by a wide margin. Hotel rates near the Haram multiply. Decide early or not at all.

Summer

Easy to take leave, but Makkah in July and August is genuinely hard going. Worth thinking about if you are travelling with elderly parents.

Cost

What actually moves the price

We would rather you understood the levers than guessed at them. Four things decide what your Umrah from Canada costs.

  • Whether you fly non-stop or connect through the Gulf or Istanbul
  • How close to the Haram you want to sleep — this moves the price more than anything else
  • How many share a room: quad sharing against a double is a large difference per person
  • Travelling in a group, which brings the per-person cost down

What about Hajj from Canada?

Different rules entirely. Saudi Arabia allocates Hajj by country, and our enrolment (ENR # 1134) places our Hujjaj on Pakistan’s allocation. So our Hajj packages are open to Pakistani passport holders — including dual nationals and the many overseas Pakistanis in Canada who fly in to join their group each year. If you hold only a Canadian passport, your Hajj must go through Canada’s own allocation, and we will tell you that plainly rather than take a deposit we cannot honour. Your Umrah, though, is very welcome with us.

Questions

Umrah from Canada

Do I need a Pakistani passport to book Umrah with Al-Manaraat?

No. Umrah is open to every nationality — a Canadian passport is perfectly fine, and so is any other. Hajj is the one that differs: our Hajj packages run on Pakistan's allocation, so those are for Pakistani passport holders including dual nationals.

What visa do I need from Canada?

Saudi Arabia currently issues Umrah permits through the Nusuk platform, and an ordinary tourist visa also permits Umrah for eligible nationalities. Rules change from season to season, so we confirm what applies to your passport on the day you book rather than working from last year's guidance. Your passport needs at least six months' validity when you apply.

Can I fly non-stop from Toronto?

Sometimes, depending on the season and how airlines have scheduled that year. More often the sensible routing is one connection through Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Istanbul, which is usually cheaper and gives you a break in the journey. We price both and let you choose.

How do I pay from Canada?

All payments go into the company's bank account, never a personal one. Ask us for the details in writing, and we will give you the amount in Canadian dollars at the day's rate so you know exactly what you are transferring.

Can you organise a group from our masjid?

Yes, and group bookings from the GTA are some of the most straightforward work we do. Numbers bring the per-person cost down and let us hold rooms together on the same floors rather than scattered through the hotel.
